Event Organiser Moves to Wallet Tickets

The challenge

A mid-size event organiser was sending PDF tickets by email. Attendees screenshotted them and shared with friends. When an event moved venue at short notice, there was no way to update tickets already sent.

The solution

Passinstance issued one Wallet pass per booking. Each pass contained a rotating QR code that changed on every scan, making screenshots useless. When the venue changed, staff updated the address field in the dashboard and every installed pass updated within seconds.

What changed

Gate staff scanned QR or tapped NFC. Duplicate attempts were rejected automatically. Attendees received a lock-screen notification on the day of the event with last-minute logistics — no app download required.
